The First social TV channel «Inva Media TV» starts HD-broadcasts

The First in history of Russian television social channel dedicated to disabled people, Inva Media TV, has marked the first anniversary in October 2012. In spite of modest operation time the channel has made serious breakthrough having started regular HD-broadcasts. In as little as one year of operation it is managed to significantly extend coverage area in Russian Federation, CIS and Baltic countries. The channel is distributed through TricolorTV DTH platform as well as through Rostelecom IPTV service. Broadcasts are available on official web site of the channel www.invamediatv.ru.
TV channel is based in building of Moscow Paralympic Centre adopted for handicapped visitors and equipped with sound and video studios, concert hall and classrooms. Inva Media TV is innovative TV project of Russia applying the latest technology developments of Russian companies. Advanced content acquisition equipment and high-class production team empower process of HD-production and content customization for people having any kind of disabilities. All the programs are broadcast with sign language interpretation.
It’s not just a TV channel today, but one of the most important tools to fulfill tasks set before Russia by UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Key concept of the channel implies creation of positive content forming image of disabled person as equal in rights and opportunities to ordinary human of modern society.
All broadcasted programs are based on original ideas of creation staff of the channel. Program subjects cover all actual issues important for many millions of disabled people in Russia. Taking into account that channel has unique set of subjects and great demand across Russia and neighbor countries, there is huge activity with aim to achieve new level of coverage of the demands of disabled community of Russian Federation.
