Netris, the leader in software development for video delivery over the Internet, has received letter of gratitude from the Information Technology Department of the city of Moscow for its invaluable contribution to the organization of video surveillance at the polling stations on the election of the Moscow Mayor September 8, 2013. Netris deployed a special solution for the Public Staff of the Mayor Election Observation that allowed to display images from cameras in the form of a dynamic video wall for the latest information on all polling stations. Observers had a user-friendly web interface to view the video with the ability to access to the archive and the means of fixing the violations.
The deployed solution includes two key Netris products: Netris iStream Media Server and Netris CCTV Middleware. Netris iStream is responsible for video delivery over Internet and the main functions of Netris CCTV Middleware are user interface generation, user authorization and integration with 3-rd party systems. For this deployment Netris used several web interfaces tailored functional duties of different observers.
“We are proud that our solution played an important role in the organization of the elections that experts admitted to be the most open in the history of Moscow”, says Murad Efendiev, CEO at Netris. “This is not the first large-scale video surveillance project carried out by our company, but certainly one of the most difficult.
