On the 30th of January the 20th CSTB. Telecom & Media’2018 Anniversary Exhibition and Forum commenced its work
20 years – is this a lot or a little time for the largest event in the TV and telecom industry? This was the topic discussed by guests at the official opening ceremony of the CSTB. Telecom & Media exhibition and forum which took place on the 30th of January at the International Exhibition Centre Crocus Expo. Director General of Midexpo Irina Nedumova, president of the Russian CATV Association Yuriy Pripachkin, Director General of Tricolor TV Aleksey Kholodov, vice-president of Huawei Russia Zheng Xin, general producer of Channel 1. Global network Dmitry Borisov and Deputy Director General of VGTRK (All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company) Dmitry Mednikov took part in the ceremony. Additionally, German Klimenko, an Internet development advisor to the President of the Russian Federation forwarded a letter of congratulation to the event who noted the significant role of the exhibition and forum in developing connections between producers and consumers as well as quality improvement of operator and TV services. The project was called “Big Digital History”; “a tradition without which the sector cannot imagine the beginning of the year”, an event which provides experts with an opportunity to determine the direction of the industry development.

Content Summit Russia: National Content in Detail - in Russia and Abroad
On January 31, 2018 within the framework of the CSTB. Telecom & Media’ 2018 exhibition, the conference CONTENT SUMMIT RUSSIA “Russian Content: Trends and Prospects” organized by Midexpo supported by Reed MIDEM (organizers of international exhibitions of content including MIPTV and MIPCOM) in cooperation with Expocontent, the official representative of Reed MIDEM in Russia, Ukraine and CIS countries, was held. Applications receipt for participation in Bolshaya Tsifra 2018 National Award is over
More than 160 applications for participation in a prestigious branch-wise competition have been processed by the arrangements committee of the Award. Now nominees’ fate will be defined by the professional jury headed by Anatoly Grigorievich Lysenko, the President of the International TV and Radio Academy, Director General of the Russian Public TV (OTR). The jury of the Award again involves reputable experts of TV and telecommunications market in Russia, leading field-oriented journalists and industry representatives. Each of them will have to make a choice on nominations within their competence, and then by summing up the votes the organizers will choose the most worthy of the candidates.
